The industrial designerMaria del Mar ManuelShe started making jewelry at the University, apart from doing the crafts and jewelry subsystem, she took different courses in wax modeling, openwork, lost wax casting and art clay.
Upon graduating from the Universidad Iberoamericana he went to New York City to study Fashion Marketing and Fashion Styling at the Fashion Institute of Technology. From that moment he began to make samples and prototypes of pieces of jewelry, which would later become pieces of his first collection.
When he finished, he returned to Mexico and founded, in partnership with the designer Michelle Mizrahi, the jewelry brand MÀNUELLE MIZRAHI.
The first collection they made was mostly in leather. Mixing different types of techniques, as well as metallic elements in silver and gold plate.
With the MÀNUELLE MIZRAHI brand, they designed several collections, they came to sell in more than 40 points of sale throughout the country, in airports as well as in Guatemala, Costa Rica and the United States. They were constantly published in the most important magazines in the country such as; ELLE, HARPER'Z BAZAR, GLAMOUR, INSTYLE, VOGUE, among others.
They made special collaborations with Pineda Covalin and the designer Kris Goyri for fashion shows and with CIHUAH for fashion shootings, among others.
They participated in proyectos of economic diffusion with ProMéxico and they appeared in the most important Wholesale Fairs in the country such as SALPRO and Expojoya.
Now Maria del Mar brings us her new solo brand with her namesake MAR MANUEL. A collection with a more personal vision in which her evolution as a Designer can be appreciated. Her inspiration is found in independent, strong and self-confident women who are looking for a special piece like "them". With a different proposal, always being faithful to its elegant design.
His new collection is undoubtedly a reflection of his personality.
